The goal of the SomersKids Ministry is to facilitate a safe, family friendly community of believers that works together to share God’s love, support families, and teach our children biblical truths in fun, age appropriate ways.

At Somers, we want our children to know God and share His love with others. We want our families to be involved and equipped to raise their children in a way that honors God, our creator. It is important that we teach our children about God while they are young, so they can spend their whole lives growing up in Him.

We offer age-level bible classes for all children birth through 5th grade on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. and Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. Additionally, we have programs and events planned throughout the year including Trunk or Treat, Leadership Training for Christ, Backpack Buddies, and our summer-long VBS called SomerTime, which meets on Wednesday evenings during the summer months.

There is “no greater joy than to hear my children are walking in the truth,” says 3 John 1:4. If you are looking for a church home for you and your children, then please visit and walk with us.

Caroline Prestridge
Children's Ministry

Caroline believes that children thrive best when their greatest need is met: the need of love. “My hope is that all children at Somers will know God and embrace His love through the encouragement and leadership of other Christians."
